This privacy notice explains how WeBloom collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you engage with our psychological services. In order to provide psychological services, WeBloom may collect the following information:

  • Medical information (details about your health that are relevant to therapy).

  • Confidential questionnaire on life history (including relevant family, medical, psychological, and social background).

  • Therapy session notes (confidential notes made during and after sessions).

All of this information is provided directly by you, the client. We do not obtain personal data about you from any other source, unless specifically requested with your consent.

  • Maintain accurate clinical and medical records as required by professional standards.

  • Communicate with you regarding appointments and therapy.

  • Contract – processing is necessary for us to deliver the psychological service you have requested.

  • Special category data (health information) – processed under Article 9(2)(h) of the UK GDPR, which allows health professionals to use such data for the purposes of providing health or social care.

Who We Share Your Information With

Your information is kept confidential. It will only be shared in the following circumstances:

  • With your GP or another medical professional if your psychologist believes it is necessary to protect your health.

  • Where required by law and the Code of Professional Ethics for Psychologists (for example, safeguarding concerns or a court order).

We do not sell or share your information with marketing or commercial organisations.

How Long We Keep Your Information

  • Therapy session notes, biographical information, medical information, and questionnaires are retained for 5 years after the end of therapy.

  • After this period, all records are securely destroyed.

Your Rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

  • Access – You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.

  • Rectification – You can ask us to correct any information that is inaccurate or incomplete.

  • Erasure – You can request deletion of your information once it is no longer necessary.

  • Restriction – You can ask us to limit how we use your data.
